Happy Halloween & Happy Birthday

I've always loved Halloween. I liked the parties growing up. It was usually a combination party. I remember the basement decorated all up, the bobbing for apples, and the scary stories. "I'm the ghost of Able Mable. Put you money on the table" "Rap, Rap, Rap." The Chocolate cake with chocolate icing and a black cat drawn on it. Playing football(who knew). Raking leaves(even more so). Scary songs. Carving jack-o-lanterns. The candy. Hope everyone has a great holiday.

Try Chrome

Just tried a new web browser, Chrome.  Built by the minds who know the web oh so well at Google.  I really like the interface and so far has been sturdy as I could hope.  There are obvious issues with living in an I.E. world, but none that matter.  Yes, I was a big proponent of Firefox, but I like this one better. Why?  Not for sure.  Not just because it's new because I ran as fast as I could away from Apples browser.  I'll keep you uptodate and tell what I find.

House sold!

A week ago today April 15, my house in KY finally sold to a nice young man. Yippee! kinda. Day late and a dollar short, but better things are around the corner..... I can't wait to tell you about it... But more to come...

Also, by "coincidence", those of you who have been to my blog a few times may have noticed my profile icon has changed. The old one was taken off photobucket just today and I had to upload a new one. I had the traveler from the movie intro because I was on a journey to discover something. The journey has come to an end and there is a new sun on the horizon.....

Congratulations to my brother, Justin who just got married this past weekend to his lovely new bride, Shae. I just came back from the wedding last night. I created a memorabilia slide show for the wedding. Thought I'd post it here for those of you who missed it.

I Love My Son, Ricky

I love Ricky. We are both part of the e-lite club known as middle boys. He is so thoughtful and tenderhearted, but at times can be dunder headed. Sound like anyone else you know of? (Excuse dangling preposition. It bugs me.) I still go back to the day he was born and think if they had lost him.... Sorry, but it was tramatic. It makes him dear to my heart. I saw this picture and thought I'd share him with my blog friend/s.

Home at Last!

Made it home last night at about 12:30 am. We were very glad to get in the door. There's no place like home. Click. Click. Click. We didn't have much trouble getting home. Monday morning was a bit odd though. It had rained on Sunday and the temperature had dropped a few degrees Sunday night. When I went over bridges Monday morning, I could feel the car lose it's grip. When we got almost to Ashland, the interstate was closed and we were diverted onto a side road. This added a while to our journey. But we made it. Hope all is well with those out there. More to come later.
